Breaking crew The Ruggeds are hopelessly addicted to adrenaline. It is what gives them wings and pushes them to keep testing the limits of what the body can do. It is also the energy they get from the drums they dance to – the breakbeat rhythms that naturally make them move.
When the adrenaline takes over, The Ruggeds literally climb into the lights and swing through the audience.
A special lighting technique by Motion Paintings changes the stage with the mood of the dancers. The original music by Y’skid and Fortbeige moves between styles such as Jungle, HipHop, and House.
In the moment, adrenaline takes over all your attention. You lose sight of everything around you – sometimes more than you would like. Adrenaline explores this relationship. A performance full of acrobatics, risk, and energy.
About The Ruggeds
Ten years ago, The Ruggeds made their theatre debut in the Netherlands with Adrenaline. With this show, they stayed close to who they are and brought their years of experience and polished breaking skills to the theatre.
In recent years, these skills have earned them world titles. After winning Battle Of The Year in South Korea and Japan, The Ruggeds are now two-time World Champions in Breaking and have become one of the leading breaking crews in the world.
In Adrenaline, you can see their incredible level of skill. The Ruggeds take you beyond the spectacular moves and into the language of breaking.
Adrenaline has been performed more than 100 times, from New York to Lowlands and from South Africa to China. Now, with this revival, you can experience this powerful show once again in Dutch theatres.
